Travail HQ ("Travail", "we", "us") provides time tracking and invoicing software for freelancers and small businesses at travailhq.com, app.travailhq.com, and in the Travail desktop app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you sign up.
Business information you enter. Your organization name, address, and logo, and the clients, projects, services, time entries, rates, and invoices you create in Travail.
Your clients' information. The client names, contact details, and email addresses you add so you can invoice them.
Payment information. Online invoice payments are processed by Stripe. Card and bank account details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive payment status, amounts, and fees from Stripe so we can mark invoices paid and show you what you received.
Technical information. Basic logs such as IP address, browser type, and request times, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To provide the service: tracking time, generating and sending invoices, and processing online payments.
- To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation, password resets, and invoice emails you choose to send.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
- To meet legal and financial obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your data or your clients' data for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Travail, and only as needed to provide the service:
- Stripe, for payment processing and connected payout accounts.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store and serve the application.
- Our email provider, which delivers account and invoice emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Who can see your data
Your clients, projects, hours, and invoices are visible only to your account. When you send an invoice pay link, the person you send it to can view that invoice and pay it.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your data, except for records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or financial reasons.
Your choices
You can view and update your information in the app at any time. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, email hello@travailhq.com.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising or third party tracking cookies. Stripe may set cookies on the payment page for fraud prevention.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Travail is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email.
